Yesterday was my adopted brother’s birthday.
Another card & gift went into his present box, with the hope that one day we can return to court to have breaches of a court order and LA lies addressed and my brother reunited and given his gifts.
That day should be a happy occasion, but for the fact that I have to let him know that our mother died over two years ago, and he was not permitted to come home for the funeral service because Herefordshire Council & The Priory Group disregarded legislation, a court order and government guidance in place at the time.
A task I’m not looking forward to and wonder how many others have been faced similar.
To date, whenever I’ve requested for him to visit, an excuse is made by the provider staff. I ask again, the visit is refused, usually with a feeble excuse, and the process is repeated again and again.
