The image below is a screenshot of the email I sent to H House and The Priory Group requesting a family home visit for my brother, a day which he chose during a brief phone call on 30th April 2017 which lasted less than 3 minutes.
You will note once again the tracking information shows the email was received and viewed twice, once on the day it was received and again on the 7th May 2017, yet it was wilfully ignored and neglected to be responded to by both The Priory Group and H House.
Needless to say, my brother was once again denied a visit home, which in turn caused considerable distress to his mother.
due to institutional abuse, the extremely limited phone call has become his only means of contact with his mother and me. I have informed all involved with my brother’s inadequate care and support that a phone is not the best option or appropriate for his communication needs, and I had requested a suitable facility to be provided to him without limitations or restriction, such as video chat, to date this has been neglected to be addressed.
In my opinion, my brother continues to be treated more like a detainee than an individual with autism and specific needs, by both The Priory Group and Herefordshire Council.
